This Bed Isolators, produced by Vickers Medical Ltd., was on display in 1977 at the CDC. Isolation units like this one are often used during deadly viral outbreaks.

Isolation units are aircraft transportable and isolate a patient placed inside from the external environment. In 1976, lower end isolator units were used in the Ebola outbreak in Zaire, 1976, to assist in the containment of the virus.
