Carwil Bjork-James is Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Vanderbilt University. He researches forms of disruptive protest and grassroots autonomy as a participant observer, oral history interviewer, and documentary historian. He is currently completing a book manuscript, The Sovereign Street: Making Revolution in Urban Bolivia.
