Didier Torny is a senior researcher in sociology, whose work examines private and public normative action relating to health. His work is at the intersection of the sociology of mobilizations, the sociology of law, the sociology of public action and the sociology of science. Focusing on issues of risk, and particularly on their health side, his research has pioneered the issue of alerts in theories of agenda setting, helped to illuminate the role of administrations in writing, implementation and control public standards and discussed the emergence of new forms of government, based on traceability, to address them.
